1. Francis "Fanny" WHITSIDE was born on 15 May 1858 in Simcoe, Norfolk Co., Ontario. She has reference number 332. BIRTH: Her birth date is a mystery as it is listed in pen in the family bible in reasonable writing and with the same ink and script as that written for her brother Robert, "Fanny Whiteside born in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight May the 15th". Note it is written as Whit e side. The time period is 1 year and 7 months. Could it be that she was illegitimate
The problem here is that her father died before October 15, 1956 (see the report on the inquest on his date in the Canadian Christian Advocate of this date.

1871- Simcoe. She is not listed as far as I can see, certainly not with the Always. She would have been 13 yoa, although there is a listing at the end, which is unreadable with a age 12, after the Alway children.

1901 - I could not find any record in Townsend, Waterford, Windham or Simcoe.
MARRIAGE: Marriage record of 1883 in Norfolk Reformer. "Uptegrove - Whitside by Reverend Russ?, 21 February, 1883, Hudson Uptegrove of Townsend to Frances Whitside of Simcoe.
QUESTION: How can she be Williams daughter and named Whitside if he died in the late summer, early fall of 1856 and she was born in 1858. Is Fanny short for Francis as we have an Estella to account for as well?

After searching N. H. Society archives I could not find any more data on the 3 children or anything after 1881.
