B.M. Whitside Electrical Contracting Ltd. was started in 1978 by Bruce Whitside, and incorporated in 1980. Bruce started out doing residential service calls while also being the local electrical public utility commission (PUC) representative in town. Soon he turned his attention to larger jobs, and the business began to focus on design-build for commercial and industrial customers. Today, B.M. Whitside Electrical completes only commercial and industrial jobs, be it by design-build or tender. The next generation, Bruce’s son Justin, joined the business in 2001, and is site foreman on most jobs.
